IWC 2026 Sake Trophy result announcement and Award Lunch

On 22nd May 2026, the Gold Medal Tasting was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Hiroshima Prefecture, and the results for the medals and trophy winners of each category were announced during the Award Lunch.

Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Commended awards are presented to each of the 11 categories. The Trophy-winning sakes were selected from among the top-rated brands within the Gold medal recipients.

Additionally, two brands were selected as “Great Value Sake” from the entered sake that meet the criteria of having an annual production volume of 100,000 bottles or more (720ml bottles) and a domestic retail price of 1,200 yen or less (excluding tax).

Furthermore, the “Champion Sake” will be chosen from the Trophy-winning sakes, along with the “Great Value Sake”, and will be announced on Tuesday, 8th September (UK time).
