IWC 2024 Award Winning Sake Tasting at the Japan Embassy

The day after the IWC awards dinner, when the Champion and other award sakes was announced, Sake Samurai Association hosted the IWC Award Winning Sake Tasting at the Japan Embassy in London. With the acknowledgment of the award and sake, more than 150 guests appeared in the venue, including Japanese / English government officials, influencers, Japanese & UK media, as well as trading people such as restaurant or bar owners.

The event was co-hosted by the Sake Samurai Association and Embassy of Japan. This year Mr Tsushima Kitahara, the new president of Sake Samurai Association joined us and gave a speech after H.E. Mr Hajime Hayashi. The champion sake and trophy winning sakes were then re-announced in front of all the guests.
This year 13 sake makers came from Japan to join us, serving their sake to the guests with the assistance from sake experts in the UK. Tables were laid out by geometric order from the north to the south. Some sake makers came from outside of Japan for the first time and enjoyed their new sake journey. The guests also had a great time tasting the winning bottles as well as their other high quality sakes.

We cannot wait to see their names and bottles in London in the near future, continuing to support them expanding further in the market.
