Ambassador Kazuo Kodama hosted a reception to celebrate the New Year and the first anniversary of the enforcement of the Japan-EU Economy Partnership Agreement. Around 200 dignities joined the celebration including officials from the EU institutions and the diplomatic corps in Belgium, along with various Japanese companies.

Thirteen years from the date that the late Ambassador Katsuhiko Oku was tragically killed on his mission in Iraq, friends and family gathered together to honour his memory by playing the game that he loved. The occasion was organised by Mr Reg Clerk, CEO of Rhino Group, who recalls Ambassador Oku as a “truly remarkable man”.

Approximately 400 guests came to celebrate His Imperial Majesty’s 85th year, including Eddie Jones (English Rugby Team Coach), Japanese companies and British parliamentarians.
